Warrior: Riders of Riddik Empty
PostSubject: Warrior: Riders of Riddik   Warrior: Riders of Riddik EmptyTue Jul 13, 2010 5:05 pm

*Riders of Riddik*

The Riders of Riddik were the official army of the capital city of Riddik. 90% of it's members are minotaur, 5% are human, and the other 5% are of various other races who are willing to live and die for the Kingdom of Riddik.

Riddik itself was once a grand kingdom from a far off continent. However when the zombie plague occurred, those part of Riddik's army who had traveled to Nerin Toth became trapped. The rest of the world seemed to have vanished with only Nerin Toth left surrounded by thousands of miles of ocean.

But the Riders of Riddik stayed true and loyal to their cause, and travel from Azerath to Velnraak, controlling the area, fighting back the undead, and hoping to one day rebuild the kingdom of Riddik.

The Riders of Riddik live by one code.

"For Riddik."

If an action will further serve the glory of the kingdom then it is worth doing, regardless of how generous or reprehensible the action may be.

The following, are the rankings of the army that serves loyalty, the Kingdom of Riddik:

First Wave Armies

Even though the cost to keep these armies going is relatively low, they usually have the highest casualties of any of the armies of Riddik. Normally they are led by a human officer rather than allowing a minotaur, since they die so often. The humans also are more apt to fight amongst each other.

Type: Infantry
Commander: Human
1st Brigade: 1 human Commander, 1 company of 240 minotaurs, 2 companies of 150 ogres.
2nd Brigade: 1 human commander, 2 companies of 150 minotaurs, 1 company of 90 ogre long bow archers.
3rd Brigade: 1 human commander, 1 company of 150 minotaurs, 1 company of 150 humans, 1 company of 150 ogre long bow archers.

First Wave Infantry
This is a mixture of both human and minotaur soldiers and more the standard compilation of the armies. There is also an extra sub-commander assigned to each brigade, which is normally a minotaur.

Riders of Riddik

In the armies of Riddik, cavalry is used often. The horses in the cavalry army do have the tendency to panic whenever undead come near, however at this point the Riders are more than ready to take to foot. When they are used, it is usually in the reserve to mop up a battle since the costs of training the Riders of Riddik is so much higher than regular infantry.

Type: Cavalry

To join the Riders of Riddik, an initiate must already be a member of the armies of Riddik, and must also be promoted to the position from a Commander, or the King of Riddik himself.

This faction receives one of the following abilities:

Way of the Hammer

Impenetrable (the character receives no damage from blunt weapons due to an unimaginable tolerance for pain. this does not mean they can't be knocked off balance.)

Unimaginable (the character is immune to any and all charm and/or sleep spells).

Indestructible (the character feels no pain from fire, heat or flames. While they do receive damage from fire, heat and flames, they are able to ignore the pain completely.)

Way of the Axe

Fury Road (the character is able to go into a rage once per day (game time) that allows them a +5 to all attacks. The rages lasts one minute and the character is exhausted and suffers a -2 to all attacks until 24 hours (game time) have passed or they have rested 8 hours (game time).

Anger Road (the character is so instilled with anger they receive a +2 to all attacks on the target of their anger. This ability does stack with Fury Road. This ability is usable once per day.)

Hatred Road (the character holds so much hate for a target, they ignore all pain dealt by that target. They still suffer damage, but are able to completely ignore the pain. This hatred lasts for one hour and is usable twice a day (game time).

======================================================

Weapons Master

All riders of Riddik may choose two weapons that they receive a +2 bonus with at character creation. The weapons chosen is a permanent decision.

Mounted

All riders of Riddik receive a horse mount at character creation. The mount is their companion and they protect it with their life. When a mount dies, the Rider goes into mourning and depression (potentially suicidal) for several days (game time) on end. The mount can not fight, but will defend itself if attacked. The Rider is in tune with his mount and may mentally call it to his side at any time, however how soon the mount arrives depends on the distance it must travel.
